Information
North America, US, parts of Mexico and Canada, unlike ISO standard, follow a different logical system of paper sizes. Having their own system for paper sizes, that makes it more difficult to scale the paper sizes. Appart the paper sizes that have been formalised in ASME Y14.1M - Metric Drawing Sheet Size & Format, they also use Letter, Ledger/Tabloid, Legal and Executive paper sizes. One of the most popular paper size used in the US, Chile and the Philippines is the US Letter paper size.
