Information

There are two main series of paper sizes which are defined by the Japanese Industrial Standards or (JIS). Those are the JIS A series, and the JIS B Series. These series are very popular in Japan, Taiwan and China. The only difference between the JIS A Series and the ISO A Series is the different tolerances they use. The aspect ratio of the JIS A and JIS B series are the same, although the JIS B Series paper is 1.5 times larger than the JIS A Series. Shiroku-ban and Kiku are some of the most commonly used traditional Japanese paper sizes by printers.
